Performs shop in-process inspection and approves outgoing product by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Reads drawings and blueprints to effectively qualify machined products.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and revise Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions as necessary to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.
  • Facilitate review and disposition of updates to Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
  • Train process owners of the QMS procedures and work instructions on the proper content and level of detail in each type of document to ensure consistency across the QMS.
  • Create, coordinate, and facilitate all internally issued corrective actions with assignees.
  • Assist manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.
  • Verify completed corrective actions are effective in preventing the reoccurrence of the original problem and root causes.

Summary/Objective:

Setup/Operator of Mori Seki/Hwacheon (Fanuc) CNC single/multi spindle Lathes and/or Mills. Individual hired will be working in a cell environment and responsible for running production on multiple machines. This individual will also be responsible for documenting inspections as required by quality control.

The CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Job Title: CNC Setup Person

The CNC Setup Person is responsible for setting up CNC mills and lathes in a precision machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine setups.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes according to job specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces to ensure precise machining.
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed, and coolant flow for optimal performance.

Program Interpretation:

  • Read and interpret CNC programs, blueprints, and engineering drawings to determine machine setup requirements.
  • Load and verify CNC programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper machining of parts.

Tooling and Fixture Management:

  • Select, install, and replace cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures as needed for each job.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect first-off parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Document and report any non-conformances or quality issues to the Production Supervisor.

Troubleshooting:
