A Mechanical Engineer – Designs, develops, and improves mechanical systems and manufacturing processes to enhance product performance, efficiency, and reliability. In a manufacturing environment, they collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to solve technical issues, optimize equipment, and ensure products meet engineering and safety standards.

Rand Precision Machining is recruiting for a 2nd Shift Materials Testing Technician level 1 or 2. We are a growing company and we are looking for qualified candidates that are looking for growth opportunities and a long time career

Non-Destructive Testing is a wide group of analysis techniques used in the science and technology industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage. This role will be primarily in the Non-Destructive Testing discipline.

Non-Destructive Testing is a very rewarding and worthwhile career, at Rand Machine we are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Non-Destructive testing both in-lab and in-field using standard methods (MT & PT)
  • Perform destructive testing for various metals under the direction of the Materials Testing Laboratory Manager
  • Operation and maintenance of specialized equipment in a safe, efficient manner
  • Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials
  • Raw data entry and analysis
  • Take incoming photos of samples
  • Conduct first-level preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment used for testing.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 standards and quality excellence.
  • Self-study and prepare for certification exams.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Experience:

  • Associates in a Engineering/Technical field (preferred)
  • Experience in Materials Testing/Nondestructive Testing (preferred)
  • Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience (preferred)
  • Engineering Technician experience (preferred)

CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Rand Precision Machining is recruiting for a 2nd shift CNC Operator. We are a growing company, and we are looking for a qualified candidate who is seeking growth opportunities and a long-term career.

Summary/Objective:

Setup/Operator of Mori Seki/Hwacheon (Fanuc) CNC single/multi spindle Lathes and/or Mills. Individual hired will be working in a cell environment and responsible for running production on multiple machines. This individual will also be responsible for documenting inspections as required by quality control.

The CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist loads parts in the machine, cycles the machine, and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

  • Performs all assigned machine shop operations.

  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.

  • Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results.

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge

Summary/Objective:

To effectively support the overall plant quality system as well as working with suppliers and customers to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines. Effectively analyze problems and provide solutions internally and to our external customers.

· Creation of quality documents and development of Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing.

· Maintain and revise Quality Assurance Procedures and Instructions as necessary to assure ISO 9001 and AS9100 registration.

· Perform internal audits and identify quality system improvements to ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D).

· Maintain product inspection control plans.

· Identify and determine quality requirements necessary to meet customer needs and expectations.

· Work closely with manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is currently maintained. In addition, implement any new changes or adaptations based on a quality review.

· Complete and submit First Article Inspection documents to customers.

· Maintain and effectively apply knowledge of statistical process control concepts such as variation, control, and process capability.

· Investigate non-conformances and assist manufacturing and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.

Qualifications:

· Required: Minimum 5 years of work experience in a quality function within a manufacturing environment. Combination of Engineering, Inspection and Document Control.

· Preferred: Bachelor degree in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline.

· Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100D

· Knowledge in statistical process control concepts such as variation, stability, and process capability.

· Experience in the metal cutting industry preferred.

· Use of dimensional inspection tools and coordinate measurement machines.

· Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Minitab, PC-DMIS, MeasurLink, Unipoint Quality modules

· Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Detail oriented and ability to multitask.

· Time management skills. Ability to prioritize and work under strict timelines.

· Logical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Researching standards for quality provisions.

· PFMEA/Control Plans/PFD

· Six Sigma experience and/or ASQ CQE preferred.

Summary/Objective:

As a Quality Control Technician, you will uphold the safety of our company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations. Perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process. Quality control inspectors examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications. Looking to fill 2nd & 3rd shift.

· Accept or reject finished items.

· Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
