The Rand sheet metal brake is an innovative new product that allows the weekend racer to buy a high quality sheet metal brake at an affordable price. This brake will do anything that the expensive brakes can do but at approximately one third the cost. This brake is a high quality unit utilizing heat-treated chrome-moly hinges and hinge pins and industrial quality toggle clamps. The brake is manufactured using welded construction for added strength and durability. The RAND sheet metal brake will give years of service and save you money both short and long term.
The sheet metal brake will bend up to 20 gauge steel, 16 gauge aluminum and 1/8" Lexan in full 6 ft. lengths. The brake will also make radius bends by simply reversing the bend blade.	18" Heavy Duty Brake. Click here for specifications.
The capability to make radius bends sets this brake apart from others because there are no special attachments involved and change over from straight to radius bends is as simple as removing two 1/4" socket head screws and reversing the bend blade.
The entire change over takes less than two minutes. The 3/8" radius is perfect for top door edges or any place a radius bend is desired.
The bend blade incorporates a 1-1/2" wide removable extension to give added support when bending Lexan or thick materials. The extension can be removed for complex body lines as close as 1/2" apart
The Rand sheet metal brake utilizes an industrial toggle clamp for actuating the clamp rail. This allows fast, positive lever-action clamping and includes a fine adjustment screw to adjust clamping pressure to compensate for different materials thickness. Hemming on the Rand sheet metal brake is done differently than on other brakes. First the hem is bent over to approximately 110^o. The piece is then placed in front of the clamp rail while rotating the bend blade upward to close the hem.
